UK-based · Independently Verified

We exist to raise the standard of research compound supply.

NMChem was founded by a small group of researchers who had grown frustrated with inconsistent quality, opaque sourcing, and inadequate documentation across the research compound market. We saw colleagues lose weeks of work to mislabelled vials and unverifiable purity claims. We started NMChem to fix that — narrowly, properly, and without compromise. Every compound we supply is verified by an independent laboratory before it leaves our facility.

Analytical integrity

We never release a batch without independent third-party HPLC and mass spectrometry confirmation. The lab we use is UKAS accredited and has no commercial relationship with our suppliers, so every result that reaches our shelves has been verified by a party with nothing to gain from passing it.

Researcher first

We design the catalogue, the documentation, and the service around the needs of working scientists — not marketing departments. That means batch numbers on every label, COAs available before purchase, technical contact for every product, and no upsell pressure on a workflow that depends on accuracy.

Full traceability

Every vial carries a batch number linked to a complete certificate of analysis in our database, available to any institutional buyer on request. From synthesis route to final assay, the chain of custody is documented. If a question arises six months after dispatch, we can answer it precisely.

Our quality commitment

Every batch we receive enters quarantine before it touches a shelf. From quarantine, samples are sent to an independent UKAS-accredited analytical laboratory for HPLC purity, mass spectrometric identity confirmation, and where relevant residual solvent screening. Only when the certificate returns within specification is the batch released for dispatch.

UKAS accreditation matters because it means the lab itself is audited — its methods, its calibration records, its analyst competency. A purity figure from a UKAS lab carries verifiable weight; a purity figure from an in-house QC slip does not. We pay the premium for accredited testing on every batch, on every product, without exception.

When a batch fails specification, we destroy it. We do not discount it out the door, we do not sell it as a lower grade, and we do not return it to the supplier for reprocessing into the next consignment. The financial loss is ours to absorb. The integrity of the catalogue is not negotiable, and treating researchers as a market for off-spec material is not a business we are willing to be in.

The team

NMChem is a small team of chemists, analytical scientists, and logistics specialists based in the United Kingdom. Names and photographs are not published for operational security reasons — research compound suppliers are a regular target for fraudulent impersonation and supply-chain attacks, and protecting individual identities protects our customers as well as our staff. Verified institutional buyers can request named contacts in writing.
